1) Good News!Just a reminder that we’ll be having face-to-face Bhajans (9:00 to 10:00 a.m.) and Bal Vikas Classes (10:30 to 11:30 a.m.) at Jubilee Wood Primary School on the following Sundays :
12, 19, and 26 June; and 3, 10, and 17 July 2022.

2) Blood Donation for Guru PoornimaThere  will be a Blood Donation Drive in July, to commemorate Guru Poornima. Timings, dates, etc. will be disseminated nearer the time but in principle if you’d like to be part of this effort, please contact Godfrey, our Seva Coordinator, at [email protected]
3) Cleaning and weeding at the Nipponzan Myohoji Japanese Buddhist TempleIn readiness for the Peace Festival at the Temple which will take place on Sunday 19 June, 10 Volunteers are needed to help clean and do a spot of gardening on Saturday 11 June, from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Please give your names to Godfrey (at [email protected])
Sis. Maruta of the Buddhist Temple relies on us, so please be generous with your time.

4) Seva at the Nipponzan Myohoji Japanese Buddhist TempleRelated to the Peace Festival, Sis. Maruta has asked if we can, as in previous years, help out at the Peace Festival  (taking on Sunday 19 June 2022). The attachments below give the details of the Programme for the day.
In terms of Seva, the following personnel are needed:
4 people to help put up streamers near the Peace Pagoda, on Saturday 18 June, from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m.;
6 people to set up the Prayer Items, chairs, and decorations, on Sunday 19 June, from 7:00 to 9:30 a.m., and then to put away all the Prayer Items, chairs, and decorations, from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m.
3 people to manage Car Parking, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Lunch will be provided for all involved.
Please register your interest with Godfrey (at [email protected]). This is a really worthwhile Seva which is much appreciated by all.
5) Donation for Lunch at the Peace FestivalAt this year’s Peace Festival the plan is to give out Lunch Packs to the attendees (instead of hot food as in previous years). The cost of the Lunch Packs is estimated to be £200. If you’d like to contribute towards this, please contact Kesan, our Treasurer, at kesan.govender@gmail.com
