The Nirvana Shatakam
Please click on the link below to hear (and read the lyrics of) the astounding Nirvana Shatakam produced by Region 5 for their Mahashivarathri Programme. It’s included in the Summer Showers 1990 (Revisited) Course that many of us are enrolled on. The Nirvana Shatakam was composed by the great sage Adi Shankara, who also gave us the Bhaja Govindam.

Opening up our Sai Centre for face-to-face Bhajans
Below is a repeat of the message that was sent out last Saturday (5 March 2022). Please have a read of it so that we are prepared for 1 May 2022.
Sai Ram, All,
With the Grace of Swami, we will be able to re-start In-Person Bhajans, at Jubilee Wood Primary School (1 Fishermead Boulevard, Fishermead, Milton Keynes MK6 2LB) at 09:00 hours on 1 May 2022.
The plan is for us to have face-to-face Bhajans on the first Sunday of May, June and July, and then on the first and third Sundays of October, November and December. If all goes well, from January 2023 we plan to have face-to-face Bhajans on all the Sundays during Term-time. On the other Sundays, the Bhajans will be on Zoom.
Anyone suffering any symptoms of COVID-19 (i.e., a high temperature, a continuous cough, a loss of taste and/or smell), should not attend In-Person Bhajans.
For the purposes of Track & Trace, anyone showing symptoms after attending Bhajans, should inform Suresh, the Centre President (at [email protected]; Tel : 07476 006 739)
With the face-to-face Bhajans, as we’re not totally clear of COVID-19 just yet, please :
– adorn face coverings before you enter the School premises.
– allow your temperature to be checked at the Entrance. [Anyone having a temperature higher than 37.5 oCelsius will be asked to return home, to self-isolate].
– write your name and telephone number in the Attendance Register at the Entrance.
Hand Sanitisers will be available at the entrance to the Hall and at the toilets. Please use them.
Upon entering the Hall, please take a seat.
Musicians and singers will be requested to sit on the floor.
Each singer will have a cover to put on the microphone before they begin singing. After their contributory Bhajan, they should take off the microphone cover, wipe the microphone down with an Antiseptic Wipe, and pass the microphone to the next singer.
After the Bhajans, the Office-Bearer Team will pack everything away.
A separate COVID Prevention Protocol will be made known to SSE Teachers and pupils.
Stay under cover, Everyone ! The virus is still about!
