MK Sai Centre Announcements : 12 June 2022

Sai Ram, Everyone,
1) This Sunday (12 June), our Bhajan Session will be face-to-face at Jubilee Wood Primary School [1 Fishermead Boulevard, MK6 2LB]. There will be Bal Vikas Classes conducted in person.
We have a Guest Speaker, Sis. Daksha Trivedi, a long-time Sai devotee, who will tell us how she came into the Sai fold.

Below are details of the protocol for the day : Peter, the Site Manager, will open up the School at 8:30 a.m. and close it soon after 11:30 a.m.

The Sai Organisation will still be taking COVID Prevention Precautions, so when you reach the School, please:

–      Write your name and Contact Number in the Register that will be outside the School Hall. If you are coming as a family, please put just one name and then ‘+ the number of people’. For example, if the Reddy family of five come for the Bhajans, they would simply write ‘Shantha Reddy + 4’. This will speed up processing of attendees.

–       Please wear a face covering. If you have your own, please bring it along.

–      Allow your temperature to be taken (Anyone with a temperature higher than 37.5 Celsius, will be asked to return home and self-isolate).

–       Use the hand-sanitizer that will be available.

Anyone showing symptoms of COVID-19 (i.e., a high temperature, a continuous cough, a loss of taste and/or smell) should not attend face-to-face Bhajans.

Anyone showing COVID symptoms after attending the Bhajans, should inform Suresh by e-mail at [email protected], or by telephoning 07476 006 739.

Once in the Hall, please take a seat. Musicians and singers only, please sit on the floor.

Singers are requested to put a microphone cover over the microphone before singing. After their Bhajan, the microphone cover has to be removed, and the microphone wiped down with an Antiseptic Wipe before the microphone is passed to the next singer.

We will endeavour to have adequate ventilation.

For the Aarthi, an electric tea-light will be utilised. No incense sticks or naked flames are to be used in the School (due to clauses in their Fire Insurance Policy).

After the Bhajans, a team of specific volunteers will pack everything away.

Toilets

There will be three toilet cubicles downstairs for our use.

Fire Drill

There will be a Fire Drill at about 11:00 a.m. Everyone has to make their way out in an orderly manner and assemble in the playground. A representative from the School will be there to observe that we conduct ourselves appropriately.2) Seva at the Japanese Buddhist TempleSis . Maruta, of the Nipponzan Myohoji Japanese Buddhist Temple, has asked if we can, as in previous years, help out at the Peace Festival which takes place on Sunday 19 June 2022.
