4) Welcome back, Anil!A very warm welcome to our Anil, the best Spiritual Coordinator ever, who’s returned from a mission in India. His physical presence in MK was sorely missed by many of us.

5) Thanks from Sis. MarutaSis. Maruta, from the Nipponzan Myohoji Japanese Buddhist Temple, sent us nice letter of thanks (attached below) for our assistance in the run-up to the Peace Festival, plus at the Peace Festival itself.
Sis. Maruta asks if any of us would like to decorate the lanterns used at the Hiroshima Day Commemoration. If you, or your children, are able to do this, please e-mail Seelan, at [email protected]

6) Region 3 Guru Poornima CelebrationJust a reminder that the above will take place at our Jubilee Wood Primary School on Saturday 9 July, from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m.

7) Midnight Moo Charity Walk
The ever-popular 10-mile Midnight Moo Charity Walk for Willen Hospice will take place on Friday 15 July 2022, and we have been asked if we can provide 23 marshals. The first attachment below shows the entire route. We have a straight one-mile stretch, from Loughton to Great Holm [please see the map at the bottom], to manage. It’s always a great event, and we’ll see a lot of friends and known families taking part in the Walk (just ask someone who did the marshalling last year, or who indeed did the Walk itself).
It’s very much a family affair so do please volunteer with your spouses and children, to be marshals. You’ll be issued with a bottle of water, a striking Sai Hi-Viz vest, and some snacks. All you have to do is stay at a given position along the one-mile stretch  allocated to us, guide the Walkers as to which direction they should be going in, and give a lot of encouragement to the Walkers, by shouting out ‘Well done!’, clapping your hands, etc.
We’ll have to meet at the Redway near the junction of Specklands and Olde Bell Lane, Loughton, (close to the V4 – Watling Street. Postcode MK5 8DA) at 10:00 p.m. for a Briefing and then will be deployed at the various stations by Godfrey, our Seva Coordinator.
We should be able to leave for home by 11:30 p.m., when the last of the Walkers is expected to have passed through our mile. It’s really good fun, and totally worthwhile, so we hope many devotees will volunteer to be marshals. Please send your names to Godfrey (at [email protected]).
